Gator Bites, Artisan Pizza & Ice Cream in Orlando's Most Charming Lakefront Neighborhood
About this tour
Just north of Downtown Orlando, Ivanhoe Village is the kind of neighborhood that rewards the curious — vintage storefronts facing Lake Ivanhoe, street murals around every corner, and a food scene that punches well above its size. This three-hour walk covers roughly a mile and five to six stops, starting with artisan pizza crafted by a genuinely creative kitchen, moving through fried gator bites with a proper aioli, a quiche built on a chickpea crust, and ending with scoops from Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream. The optional adult beverage package pairs something local with nearly every course. Tracy and Dave have built real relationships with every restaurant owner on the route, and those introductions — from the chef explaining the bay-leaf pizza to the ice cream maker handing out samples — are what separate this from a glorified dinner crawl.

Equilibre Healthy Foods (Equilibre Cafe)
A health-forward café with an elegant quiche made on a crisp chickpea crust — one of the more surprising stops for guests expecting standard tour fare. The housemade fruit drink served alongside is refreshing on a Florida afternoon.

The Pinery
A lively bar restaurant with local craft beer and an adventurous menu. The fried alligator bites here are described by multiple reviewers as tender with an excellent dipping aioli — a Florida-specific experience that makes first-time visitors genuinely excited.

“What a great afternoon we had! It was fun learning about Ivanhoe and visiting some of the places in town. All stops were interesting, and the food was great. I learned something new at each stop. It was also fun to support local businesses along the way. Our tour guide Tracy was great! So nice and made sure we were well taken care of. Check it out! You won't be disappointed. Thank you, Tracy!”

“We decided to take this tour on a whim with a friend visiting from Ontario, Canada, and to learn about a new area since moving to Orlando in 2022. We thought Tracy was awesome! So passionate about food and fun and local vendors, and so organized and helpful and kind throughout the whole tour. We experienced a good mix of food and vibes throughout the tour, from local (amazing!) pizza, to venturing to try gator bites, and other great places with great stories, before finishing it all off with an ice cream treat. (so rad!) Special shoutout to Yay! Tiny Shop and Maffrey's, two stores we got to peek in that had really kind owners and really unique items that would make great gifts. 100% would go again, and would recommend to do with family and friends.”
