Barley Row and Beyond: Orlando's Craft Brewery Walking Tour Through Mills 50 and Ivanhoe Village
About this tour
Virginia Drive doesn't look like much from the highway — a low-slung stretch between Mills 50 and Ivanhoe Village that locals call Barley Row. But packed into about a mile of it are two legitimate craft breweries and two neighborhood bars that have been anchoring Orlando's independent beer scene for years. Wandering Palm's brewery walking tour threads them together in three hours: Ten10's industrial taproom, Ivanhoe Park Brewing's historic tasting room, Nora's Sugar Shack cigar-and-craft-beer lounge, and Ziggie's bar. Eight samples, two food stops, and enough local lore to keep conversation going between pours.

Stops and tastings may vary by season and availability.
Ten10 Brewing Company
Ten10 is the tour's anchor and starting point — a production brewery with a taproom in the north end of Mills 50, surrounded by the Orlando Science Center and Museum of Art. The space has an industrial-warehouse feel with rotating seasonal taps and year-round flagship beers.
Highlight: 2 rotating craft beer samples + soft pretzel with beer cheese
Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company
Named after the 19th-century founder of Lake Ivanhoe, this independent brewery celebrates the pioneering spirit of early Orlando. The tasting room occupies a historic building in Ivanhoe Village with two floors, lake views, and a rotating tap list that skews toward clean lagers and hop-forward IPAs.
Highlight: 2 craft beer samples (rotating seasonal selection)
Nora's Sugar Shack
A dog-friendly package lounge on Virginia Drive run by the eponymous Nora — a hyper-local spot with a curated craft beer list, boutique wines, and a cigar-friendly patio. It's the kind of place regulars call home. Cold pours and a laid-back vibe make it a natural mid-tour breath.

“Book it! Bites and Brews was fun! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Brews and Bites tour guides by Dave, who was such a delight! He was so knowledgeable and fun. The places we visited had amazing people, drinks, and food. We will ask for Dave again when we book a food tour. We will also check out the places we visited on the tour again when we want to grab a bite to eat.”

This tour is adults-only — no exceptions, no flexibility on the 21+ age requirement. With only 7 confirmed reviews across platforms at the time of data collection (March 2026), the review sample is thin; the all-5-star record is encouraging but not yet statistically robust. One longtime stop, The Thirsty Topher, closed in April 2025 — the space has since transitioned to a Ziggie's-operated bar area (The Topher Taproom), which continues to offer craft beer. The itinerary on TripAdvisor reflects this updated stop. Bring a refillable water bottle — the operator asks all guests to stay hydrated between beer stops.

▸How we calculate this
The Gastropub Score is a proprietary rating that blends lifetime and recent review performance across TripAdvisor, Google Business, Viator, and other platforms. We weight recent reviews more heavily, factor in review volume, consistency, response patterns, and cross-platform agreement. Unlike simple star averages, our score accounts for recency, review depth, and platform credibility to give you a single, trustworthy number.
